Gliding wheel for Mainio chair
Convenient gliding wheels are an excellent choice, especially for chairs used in care facility furnishing. The gliding wheels ease the work of the caregiver.
By relieving weight from the rear legs using the chair's backrest structure, the weight is transferred to the chair's front legs and the gliding wheels. This makes the chair light to move forward or backward. The chair user can also move the chair themselves by leaning forward, which shifts the center of gravity to the front.
A chair equipped with gliding wheels is stable to sit in and will not move away when in use. The chair cannot tip forward thanks to the anti-tipping feature. When a determined tilting angle is exceeded, the wheel lifts off the floor, and the chair rests on the anti-tipping obstacle.
