Turku City Hospital

Turku City Hospital is a hospital complex maintained by the City of Turku, located mostly in the Mäntymäki hospital area in the Kurjenmäki district.

Chief Nurse Terhi Painilainen comments:

"The entrance lobbies of the City of Turku's health services in the Mäntymäki hospital area are in active use by clients. We requested domestic, wood-framed furniture for the spaces, with features that meet the users' needs. The height and armrests of the furniture make standing up easier when the client’s strength is not at its best. The easily cleanable surface materials meet the hygiene requirements of the health services' customer premises. We have received positive feedback from our clients about the furniture and especially about the firm seating feel of the soft furniture."

We supplied the facility with soft furniture from our Olo series, Arki coffee tables, and our Ote chairs with two different seat heights. The colors selected for the furniture were natural shades close to nature, as requested by the client, which complement the color scheme of the premises. The furniture uses vinyl fabric designed for demanding environments, which has high abrasion resistance and is engineered to provide effective protection against bacteria, abrasion, and stains. The furniture was taken into use in the autumn of 2022.
