Lamminranta

Lamminranta, Treili Oy's 50-place unit for round-the-clock care for the elderly, is located in the same building as a daycare center. The building was designed entirely based on the needs of the services. Both operators have their own spaces, but the building includes shared facilities that enable activities combining the generations.

We supplied the care premises with our Mainio chairs and tables, which were produced in colors specific to each residential group. The color scheme was designed by interior designer and accessibility surveyor Tuija Salmi, who was responsible for the overall planning of the spaces.

Elina Häivälä, Treili's Director of Services for the Elderly, says the following about our furniture:

"The dining furniture is beautifully and modernly designed, but it's also about practicality! They look light and streamlined, yet they are very sturdy and safe. The bar bordering the table is truly a great invention for an elderly person with poor balance, as it allows them to support themselves when pushing up from the chair. The bar also functions as a plate stopper, preventing a plate from accidentally sliding into one's lap. Furthermore, the casters under the chairs make movement easier for both the resident and the employee, but the chair still stays firmly in place during the meal. And it's wonderful that dining furniture can also be cheerfully bright-colored instead of those everlasting white or wood-colored dining tables."
