More than just furniture.
More colors and options. More durability and features. Better adapted to different age requirements. With these demands in mind, we started designing the new Mainio furniture series, based on our age-friendly and design for all philosophies, which also meets the needs of seniors.
As a result of this development work, Mainio gained brilliant functional features that are design protected (model protected). The functionality considers both the users of the furniture and those who maintain it, as well as environmental requirements. By design, Mainio is new, homely, lightweight, and adaptable.
The furniture is manufactured in Finland.
Mainio armchairs are made for easy seating. The seat height of the armchairs is slightly higher than normal, the sitting position is comfortably upright, and the cushions are adequately supportive. It is possible to choose a seat with fixed or removable upholstery. There is always a moisture-protective barrier beneath the removable upholstery. The backrest upholstery is fixed. To provide extra protection for the backrest, it is possible to acquire a moisture-protected removable slipcover, and a separate removable slipcover for the neck cushion of the high armchair.
Upholstery can be purchased and the look of the chair can be updated easily, even retrospectively. There are plenty of fabric options and colors available. All fabrics we recommend have an abrasion resistance of at least 100,000 Martindale, a fire rating of SL 1, and are 60-degree washable.
The stable metal frame is long-lasting and is available in many different frame colors. The chair is easy to clean thanks to its smooth surfaces.
The back of the backrest is lacquered birch veneer. It is possible to order parts stained.
Wooden armrest covers are available as an accessory for the armchairs.
